the brief

Between 2014 and 2016, Tufts University conducted rigorous, independent research on the Supervisory Skills Training initiative and its impact. Some 800 supervisors across eight countries took part in the study.

Better Work is joint programme of the UN's International Labour Organization and the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group. They tasked us with bringing their supervisory skills training report to life with an interactive microsite. The brief was to create an engaging site with illustrations and animations to clearly demonstrate their data and the success of the programme. It had to be fully responsive, and due to the location of some of their workers, load well on limited connections.

The project

Concept, wireframes, design and development.

We needed to produce a site that was engaging and animated, but still worked on slower connections. Because of this we opted for a concept using line art for speed, rather than too many rich graphics. We created SVG animations to bring the infographics to life, and made sure the project worked responsively.
