Animated infographic microsite for Better Work's Supervisory Skills Training

Animated infographic microsite for Better Work's Supervisory Skills Training

Better Work – a collaboration between the United Nation’s International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) came to Toasted Digital asking us to design, illustrate animate and develop a microsite to promote the positive results of their gament industrry training programme "Supervisory Skills Training".

The Supervisory Skills Training was first developed in 2005. The last two years more than 5,850 supervisors across seven garment manufacturing countries have taken part in this interactive, three-day training. Through hands-on exercises, group discussion and individual reflection, the session provides knowledge of worker rights, supervisor responsibilities and professionalism in the workplace. Participants also develop skills in effective listening, communication, time management and work allocation.

Every Man Remembered

Every Man Remembered

Every Man Remembered was a project initiated by The Royal British Legion, working with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission to keep alive the memory of those who fell in the First World War, for future generations. The goal is to commemorate every single man and woman from across the Commonwealth who fell during the conflict.

We were commissioned by BPL Marketing to develop the app, working with the CWGC’s WW1 database on the backend together with MODx to create a powerful infastructure. On the front end we developed a responsive site with many features, including the ability to view the thousands of cemeteries and commemorations on a custom map. The site also needed several types of animation, including scrolling to tell the story of the soldiers and the RBL’s ongoing work.

Every Man Remembered was recognised by The Digitals 2014, winning the Charity & Not for Profit award.

Backend development and awesome Ordnance Survey Maps integration.

Backend development and awesome Ordnance Survey Maps integration.

Discovering Britain is a site all about discovering the landscapes of Britain through walks.

The project was designed and managed by Pixillion, while we took on the task of integrating MODx as a content management system that let the Royal Geographical Society update their walks with rich media (images, auto, video and GPX maps). We also customised and integrated official OS maps into the site.

We also developed and integrated "Walk the World" into the same CMS. Walk the World was originally created as part of Discovering Places, the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad campaign to inspire the UK to discover their local environment by finding links to all 206 Olympic and Paralympic Participating Nations.
